HomeThru publishes buying guides, product reviews, and how-to content for American homeowners and DIYers. If you write clearly, know your tools, and have no patience for vague advice, we should talk.

What We’re Looking For

We want writers with real hands-on experience in at least one of our categories: power tools, hand tools, smart home and security, kitchen and dining, bath fixtures, lighting and ceiling fans, workshop storage, electrical and plumbing, building supplies, or safety and appliances.

Good fit if you:

  • Have written product reviews or how-to guides for a general audience before
  • Can explain a spec in plain English without dumbing it down
  • Know the difference between a product that looks good on paper and one that holds up after six months of actual use

Not a fit if you:

  • Write sponsored content or work directly with brands on paid placements
  • Need us to assign topics with no prior ideas of your own

What We Publish

  • Best-of roundups with clear winners and honest trade-offs
  • In-depth reviews with a quick verdict up top
  • Buying guides that explain which specs matter and which are marketing noise
  • How-to guides written for the first-timer, not the contractor

How to Pitch

Email [email protected] with:

  • Two or three published samples (reviews or guides preferred)
  • A short intro: who you are, what you know hands-on
  • One or two specific article ideas for HomeThru

We read every pitch and respond to ones that are a good fit.
